Abstract

This Project aim to develop and evaluate the performance of a long-range communication network based in the LoRa technology. This network developed will focus in the needs of the energy sector to allow the expansion and implementation of Smart Grids. The LoRa network allow long distance communication even in urban area for multiple devices, this characteristics is extremely important when considering the use for smart metering. Considering the developed smart metering solution (SM01B Smart Meter), early funded by Fapesp, this project promotes the effective adoption of this product by integrating it with a wireless communication network, as expected by the energy sector.
