Abstract

The oral tradition was the main form of knowledge transmission between individuals through storytelling. The technological evolution, since the discovery of writing until the current technological changes, has changed the way knowledge has been transmitted through technological improvements. The online Digital Library Project for mobile audiobooks and e-books focus on providing a broader range of services for visually impaired people, dyslexics or people with some difficulty in the process of reading and literacy learning. In this way, the library project aims to bring to schools, colleges and educators tools that can help in the process of retaining and assimilating contents through storytelling at the online library. The research also aims at comparing levels of comprehension in each of the formats presented in the classroom. (AU)
