Abstract

Project proposal for the renewal of FAPESP financial assistance to continue the development of the SciELO Program in the period of three years, between November 1st, 2019 and October 31st, 2022, with the specific and permanent objective of improving the editorial quality of journals published in Brazil and contribute to reinforce and increase the visibility, use and impact of the research they publish. The scope of the project comprises the updated continuity of the set of governance, management, operation, training, marketing, research and innovation activities to advance the improvement of the operation and dissemination of the SciELO Brazil Collection. The project will strengthen the harmony of the collection, periodicals and researches that communicate with the international state of the art of scientific communication with emphasis on the adoption and appropriation of the publishing practices of open science, the interoperability within the SciELO Network and with renowned systems of scientific communication, with emphasis on already consolidated bibliographic indexes such as the Web of Science that hosts the SciELO Citation Index, Scopus, Google Scholar, Crossref and PUBMED and new indexes such as Dimensions, 1findr and Lenz. The continuity of the processes of professionalization, adoption of good editorial practices and internationalization will reinforce and broaden the recognition of the relevance of the Brazilian quality journals, of the researches that communicate and the status of SciELO as an outstanding actor in the international flow of scientific communication.
