Abstract

The Institute of Economics Library is integrated with the UNICAMP Library System (SBU) and aims to support teaching, research and extension programs, enabling access to information stored and generated at and beyond UNICAMP, as well as promoting exchange of experiences and collections. Thus, it works with a commitment to provide access to information, through excellence in the quality of care provided to the scientific community, providing its collection, adequate infrastructure, as well as other services, in an area of approximately 993m2.Its physical collection is made up of approximately 106,000 copies, of which about 49,000 are copies of books, theses, monographs, DVD's, etc., and 57,000 are copies of journals, linked to Economic Science and related sciences. In addition, it has a large collection of works available online and for download, including through residential remote access, crossing the barriers of time and location in access to information sources. In fact, the theses and dissertations, and the monographs defended by the Institute of Economics are all digitized and available at Unicamp's Institutional Repository and Unicamp's Digital Library respectively.
