Abstract

In the IPEN data center are network servers that store data from different research centers and whose processing capacity accommodates, among others, a cluster from the Nuclear Engineering Center and a network server dedicated to the Research Reactor Center. In addition to the IPEN centers, the data center accommodates two servers of the Brazilian Multi-Purpose Reactor - RMB project, which is accessed remotely by its researchers.In order to meet the current demand, it is necessary to keep the network equipment technologically updated, so that it can be used by the network equipment of the IPEN Research Centers.Part of the equipment installed today is old, with outdated technology. To improve this situation, we need to purchase equipment with updated technologies. (AU)
