Abstract

The project aims to continue the research that has already been carried out by the proponent, as well as to solve the problems proposed in the research activities of this project. The project aims to support the proponent in the development of his scientific research in the area of knowledge of Mathematics in Partial Differential Equations. The research activities to be developed are mainly immersed in the Theory of Fluid Dynamics, involving the following research activities: 1st activity: Movement of rigid bodies in a viscous fluid; 2nd activity: Movement of fluids in porous media; 3rd activity: Deterministic and Stochastic Problems in Fluid Dynamics. We emphasize that the scientific gains of the project extend to the undergraduate levels through guidelines for course completion and undergraduate research. The project will contribute to the training of personnel at the master's level through our Post-Graduate Program in Mathematics. The project will reinforce the existing partnership between the proponent and other researchers from Brazil and abroad, and consequently an increase in the scientific production of Mathematics at the Department of Computing and Mathematics - FFCLRP / USP.
