Abstract

FEARP/USP conducted a consultation with the faculty to obtain information regarding the highest priority needs. The most indicated item was the lack of high-performance computing resources permanently available for research activities. Thus, it was decided to purchase a high-capacity server for exclusive use in research activities. This equipment is compatible with the existing park in the FEA-RP, which guarantees a redundancy that allows the execution of its tasks even in cases of maintenance that requires the shutdown of the research server. It is also a piece of equipment made up of expandable modules, which allows the subsequent incorporation of new modules that increase the equipment's capacity. (AU)
