Abstract

The visit of Prof. Tiago Pinto will allow the development of research work with professors from the Laboratório de Planejamento de Sistemas de Energia Elétrica (LaPSEE). Research activities are related to the study of local electricity markets and the use of artificial intelligence techniques to solve problems to support the decision of agents, including demand forecasting and energy generation tools. Moreover, Prof. Tiago Pinto will offer the 8-hour mini-course "Artificial intelligence techniques in electrical energy systems"; he also will participate in a workshop organized by LaPSEE on the optimization of modern distribution systems in the context of electricity markets and will have coordination meetings to idealize and formulate new research projects with LaPSEE researchers.
