Abstract
With the growing number of researches being developed and the reduction offinancial resources coming from the University and from the Development Agencies, the Araçatuba Dental School (FOA) has stimulated the sharing of the researchinfrastructure among professors, Research Groups and Graduate Programs withthe aim of maintaining quality and scientific productivity. The FOA Departments, such as Basic Sciences, Preventive and Restorative Dentistry, Diagnosis andSurgery, and Dental Materials and Prosthodontics, make available and share theinfrastructure and equipment of other laboratories that are in the process of creatingthe Multiuser Centers. However, frequent and regular use by a larger number ofusers leads to a rapid deterioration of shared infrastructure and equipment. In thiscontext, there was a consensus between the researchers who generated the"Institutional Technical Reserve to Support Research Infrastructure" (base year2021) and the Faculty's Management to apply the Resources in the execution of themaintenance and improvement of the infrastructure of the multi-user laboratoriesthat support the Graduate Programs at the Araçatuba Dental School. Consideringthe problem raised and the available resources, the objective of the presentproposal will be the acquisition of laboratory equipment, equipment for theproduction of purified water, and benchtop dental equipment (with reflector andvacuum pump) for operating rooms in the vivarium, with the purpose of increasingthe capacity of the research infrastructure to the users, reaching some of the mainplaces of support to the research of the Araçatuba Dental School. Two laboratoriesand the Bioterium for Maintenance and Experimentation in Rodents will be served. In the previous Project (FAPESP n. 2021/13777-0), four laboratories and theBioterium for Maintenance and Experimentation in Rodents were benefited. Thus, the Araçatuba Dental School will be able to maintain and improve its researchinfrastructure, strengthening research groups and graduate programs and, consequently, raise the level of research to the international standard of publication.
