Abstract

The project aims at acquiring a new sampling and ionization source: the MASSSPECPEN, an innovative device, initially used in clinical diagnoses of cancer but currently in several other clinical and forensic analyses.The project intends to establish Mackenzie University as a new MASSPEC PEN development center, coordinated by an expert in the field and in collaboration with the technique's creator. MASSPEC PEN will allow the development of research in various areas of science by all researchers at the University who wish to use it, establishing internal, external, and international partnerships, allowing the formation of undergraduate and research students, and the publication of articles in international impact journals.
