Abstract

The objective of this project is the integration of research groups on network analysis using geographic information systems (GIS). Location and routing problems have several applications but are difficult optimization problems of combinatorial nature. The main contribution of the project will be the research of new efficient algorithms and implementation of known algorithms for location and routing. The common use of GIS and the adaptation of the algorithms to this system will promote the research group integration. The experience of the group may also be used in a practical application for a Vale do Paraíba city. (AU)
