Abstract

With this Project, we intend to validate our Artificial Intelligence Agent in an environment provided by our partner, Gusmão & Labrunie Intellectual Property Law Firm, and demonstrate that the NeoPTO software solution can be used by Brazilian patent professionals, initially in specialized offices, and later, in the respective areas of Research, Development and Innovation of Public Institutions (Universities and ICTS) and Private Institutions (Innovative Companies), to make the patenting process simpler, faster and more accessible. As of today, a common patent application can cost more than $20,000 (or more than R$100,000.00), and the wait for a result can be many years. In addition, existing software solutions for patents and intellectual property protection are focused on providing databases that require professionals to spend many hours of work. We created NeoPTO, a company that develops Artificial Intellectual Property Agents, to improve the access to the world of patents. Agents are digital assistants that work for our clients in the areas of patents and intangible property. Our Artificial Agents automatically find, read, analyze and interpret scientific and patent data according to the parameters assigned by users. Agents work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and, with their performance, make the various stages of the patenting process much simpler and faster and therefore offer significant competitive advantage over existing solutions. The agents apply extremely advanced models of Artificial Intelligence and, unlike existing software tools for searching for patents, use databases carefully curated for the Brazilian market. (AU)
