Abstract

Prof. Akihisa Inoue is one of the most recognized scientists in the field of development of metal alloys processed in non-equilibrium conditions, such as the ones that forms the amorphous, nanocrystalline and quasicrystalline metal alloys. The activities during his 02-month visit will be directly associated with the DEMa UFSCar research group, coordinated by the applicant, and responsible for FAPESP's regular project, process 2021-08514-0, focusing on the development of multicomponent metal alloys for applications in coatings resistant to corrosion and wear. In addition to this project, Prof. Inoue's activities will directly benefit 02 other research projects funded by FAPESP on topics associated with the development and properties of multicomponent metal alloys and processed in non-equilibrium conditions. In addition to the coordination and research activities in the area of development of advanced metal alloys, the activities planned for the visitant also include lectures at conferences and technical discussions and seminars in the Graduate Program of Materials Science and Engineering of UFSCar.
