Abstract

Teatro Brasileiro de Comédia e Cia Cinematográfica Vera Cruz (1949-1954): costumes of great adventures and audacities is a project that aims to rescue, record and analyze the creation of costumes in TBC and Vera Cruz, a theme unheard of to date. Both were cradles of creation for countless set designers and costume designers who altered the visuality of scenic doing in Brazil - in theater and cinema, respectively. The process handles the iconography and bibliography associated with the companies, but above all, boasts a differential: it has 920 authentic costumes, museological, newly discovered in São Bernardo do Campo and that belonged to the collection of Vera Cruz and possibly TBC and that were made available for 30 months for research in the Center of scene costume, clothing and technology of the University of São Paulo, coordinated by the project proponents.
