Abstract

The computing storage array being proposed for acquisition in this project will help bootstrap the consolidation of several data and collection repositories already existent in the University today, into RIPU, Unicamp's Institutional Research Repository. It will help establish the conditions for today's storage needs and plan future expansions and partnerships. Large storage needs area ubiquitous in today's computing environments, permeating all scientific areas. Thus, this is multiuser equipment that will exert a broad positive influence within and outside Unicamp. (AU)
