Abstract

This RTI corresponds to the parcel of the Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia (IMT), which contributes in the thematic project related to the development of the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT) carried out by several institutions in the State of Sao Paulo (Process nº 11/51680-6). It is proposed to acquire technologies allowing researches in the following groups at the IMT: Internal Combustion Engines and Vehicles, Manufacturing Processes and Mechanical Design, Materials Science and Engineering, Particulate Systems, and Biological Treatment of Wastewater. The aforementioned machines and resources are aimed to develop and enhance fields of research as follows: microstructural and topography characterizations due to manufacturing processes, particulate systems and materials; molecular microbiology analyses that complements the experimental monitoring information; and evaluation of systems and components for generating electrical energy using hydrogen oxidation in fuel cells.
