In-situ high-pressure transport experiments combined with Synchrotron experiments to unveil the role of CDW on Kagome superconductors

Abstract

This project aims for Dr. Milton Torikachvilli, from the State University of San Diego, to become a visiting researcher at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy in Materials for a period of 7 months. During this period Dr Torikachvilli will help on the development of capabilities to perform high pressure transport experiments at both Brazilian Synchrotron Light Source (LNLS) and Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory. Dr Milton is a world leader scientist on the topic for almost 50 years, working on a study of superconductivity at extreme conditions. The combination of the long experience of Dr. Milton with the state-of-the-art capabilities available at CNPEM with allows us to reach ambitious scientific goals as well open new opportunities for experiments for the Brazilian community at open facilities of CNPEM.
