Abstract

Nanoemulsions are a promising technological solution for the Brazilian agricultural market, especially in terms of pesticides in plant products. As nanoemulsions have nanometric dimensions, they improve the efficiency of the active ingredients, allow controlled release, increase adhesion and penetration into plant tissues. The nanoemulsions presented here constitute a low-cost solution compared to imported chemicals. In addition, they have low toxicity for handling by field workers, reduce the environmental impact by preserving pollinators, and can be integrated with artificial intelligence systems and sensors for more automated and effective control. This approach can increase crop productivity and quality, reducing negative impacts on the environment and human health. With regard to the manipulation of conventional agrochemicals, especially fungicides that are highly toxic, an alternative of low toxicity and especially important for family farming, which often has the collaboration of underage family members in field work.
