Generalized Linear Models and Extensions for Under- and Overdispersed Data

Abstract

The aim of this visit is to build on previous collaborative work between us and set the path for future work. Regarding our joint work, there are a number of strands that we need to continue to work on, while at the same time starting out on new avenues of associated work. An important objective of this visit will be to make further progress on our monograph Overdispersion: Models and Estimation; which will be published by Chapman & Hall. This has been stalled by the pandemic and a further period of intense collaborative work is necessary to move this project forward. At the same time as working on this, we would hope that we can also move forward with writing papers on related work with some previous PhD students. As well as attempting to tie up a number of previous areas of work, we would also work to identify additional aspects for further collaborative research, such as the planned work on modelling rates for overdispersed count data. Another aim for this visit is the RBras meeting, including the organized session presenting recent work on aspects of longitudinal data analysis. In addition to this, we have both engaged each other in work with other members of our teams providing for continuing the joint collaboration between the groups. (AU)
