Abstract

Since the 1980s, UFRJ, through COPPE, the Polytechnic School, and the Institute of Economics, has been active in the oil, natural gas, and biofuels sector with research, technological development, and educational activities. Notable projects include collaborations with companies such as Petrobras and ANP. Since 2000, these units have graduated 250 undergraduates, 180 master's students, and 100 PhDs, many of whom are now prominent in governmental and corporate sectors. UFRJ also stands out for its interactions with national and international companies and research centers, demonstrating its long-standing involvement in the sector. (AU)
