Abstract

SENAI CIMATEC is a renowned institution of applied research and higher education focused on the industrial sector. With more than 200 teachers and almost 3,000 students, it is recognized nationally and internationally. In 2019, the first phase of its CIMATEC Park Advanced Campus began, a space for research and academic activities. SENAI CIMATEC students have access to an innovation and technology ecosystem, including Automation, Logistics, Materials institutes and technology centers such as BIR (Brazilian Institute of Robotics), SENAI Institute of Advanced Health Systems and the Computing Center for Industrial Innovation. With 42 areas of competence, CIMATEC stands out in Research, Development and Innovation, in addition to encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation. SENAI CIMATEC plays an important role in the country's industrial development, acting as a solutions center, promoting new technologies and facilitating cooperation between industry, academia and the community. It seeks to be a hub of knowledge, contributing to the economic and social development of the country. Maintains national and international partnerships to stay aligned with the world of work and promote innovation and interdisciplinarity. Its current relevant position in the national applied research scenario guarantees global insertion and allows it to further strengthen ties with technology-based sectors. The human resources training program (PRH 27.1) seeks to meet the need for training specialized labor in the sector, as a reflection of the expansion of the oil, gas and biofuels industry in Brazil, caused by the opening of the market, leading to the increased demand for professionals with a higher level of qualification. Access to the training course is permitted to holders of a higher education diploma, preferably in the areas of Oil and Gas, who are approved in the selection process published by the institution. It allows undergraduate students of the Institution's engineering courses, from the 5th period onwards, with all basic cycle subjects completed, and time to stay in the program for at least 24 months. Students must develop their course completion work in the area of oil, natural gas and biofuels. The course is also aimed at master's and doctoral students at the Institution, and it is mandatory that they develop their respective dissertation or thesis topics focused on the oil, natural gas and biofuels sector.
