Abstract

The emphasis of this proposal is the training of human resources, at the Undergraduate, Master's and Doctorate levels, in Exploration, Development and Production: Reservoir Engineering, Well Engineering (Drilling and Completion), Oil Production (Lifting and Flow Systems), Maritime Operations and Offshore Systems, Geology, Geophysics (including Seismic) and Economic Assessment. These lines are fundamental for prospecting and discovering new oil basins and horizons in the national territory, and for mining deposits from countless giant fields, in development and in production, in post-salt and pre-salt layers. Oil production in Brazil's current economic scenario is fundamental to national stability and sovereignty. The expected production quantities are of great magnitude, promising to maintain and boost the economy and provide important revenue for the nation. The strategic significance of these natural resources is highlighted here, which if wisely used will guarantee the survival of society during the transition to a post-oil world. Through the proposed program, young talents will be engaged in these oil production activities for the coming decades. The proposed program of Science and Engineering of Natural Resources of Petroleum and Natural Gas promotes a multidisciplinary integration that is reflected in its conduction with the support of three units at Unicamp - FEM (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), IG (Institute of Geosciences) and IMECC (Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science), supported by CEPETRO, to achieve the specific goals of the program. In this way, students from different related areas can be recruited to improve their original training (mechanical engineering, geology, geophysics, mathematics, chemistry, etc.) generating new professionals focused on issues and solutions within the petroleum area, which are disseminated in the workmarket in the industry, this being the greatest benefit of the ANP Human Resources Program.
