Abstract

The ANP Human Resources Training Program is an ANP initiative that arose due to the need to train professionals to respond to new and significant technological and regulatory challenges in the Oil industry. The Program operates in the training and specialization of undergraduate, master's, doctoral and post-doctoral students interested in working in the sector, offering financial resources in the form of scholarships and bench fees for courses (undergraduate and postgraduate) with an emphasis on activities in different segments of the production chain of the oil, natural gas and biofuels industry. Within the scope of UFMA, the project involves the departments of chemical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical and chemical technology, working on 3 specific training emphases: Biofuels and Other Renewable Energies (for undergraduate students of chemical engineering, industrial chemistry and chemistry courses), Transportation, Refining and Processing of Oil and Natural Gas (for undergraduate students of industrial chemistry course) and Automation and Optimization Systems in Petroleum, Natural Gas and Renewable Energy (for undergraduate students of electrical engineering course and postgraduate students of the Postgraduate Program in Electrical Engineering - PPGEE). Currently the program, identified as PRH 54.1, has 20 active scholarship students, 16 at undergraduate level, 1 at master's level and 3 at doctoral level, who carry out their research activities within the pre-established emphases for the program. Since the beginning of its implementation, at the beginning of 2020, the program has already contributed to the training of 14 students at undergraduate level, 6 at master's level, 1 at doctoral level and 3 at post-doctoral level, carrying out its function to train qualified labor and contribute to overcoming the numerous technological challenges related to the Oil industry.
