Abstract

Faculty of Applied Sciences (FCA) of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) has developed, since its implementation in 2009, important activities in teaching, research and extension. Completing the teaching-research-extension triad, with regard to research, and consequently part of the extension, the organization of the FCA takes the form of Centers and Laboratories. With this structure, the unit's professors, most of them with postdoctoral degrees and academic experience abroad, are encouraged to be interdisciplinary and constantly improve, which is reflected in the increase in financed projects and the improvement in the quality of knowledge production with the ability to intervene, manage and plan changes and innovations for the public and private sectors. In this context, FAPESP's Institutional Technical Reserve has contributed substantially to the progress of research and advances in knowledge, as well as to the establishment of research groups that only manage to prosper with resources from development agencies. Considering the characteristics of this resource, i.e., support for improving the collective research infrastructure, this Application Plan is the result of a joint analysis carried out by the Unit Management and the researchers who generated theRTI resources for the FCA, within a multidisciplinary perspective in the application of resources, thus benefiting the greatest number of researchers possible.
