Abstract

A set of aspects present in the preparation and submission of a memorial aimed at recognizing a traditional community leader as a doctor for renowned knowledge at a public university constitutes the object of this research project. Through the effective involvement of researchers in the process, we will analyze the institutional, political and epistemological issues of implementing an interepistemic initiative in higher education. To this end, we will construct a case study limited to the organization of the memorial and subsequent institutional assessment, in a Brazilian public university. The theoretical and methodological framework is constituted by the Knowledge Meeting. The corpus will consist of the memorial itself plus field diaries, interviews and secondary sources. The organization and analysis of the corpus will be carried out, firstly, based on categories from our framework and, secondly, through a workshop with the segments involved in the investigation, from a participatory perspective. It is expected to offer support for the advancement of interepistemic reflections and practices in our universities. (AU)
