Abstract

Sugarcane biological control is a remarkable approach for pest control since 1950's when first attempts were performed by Dr. Gallo (ESALQ/USP). The entomopathogenic fungi Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae, the parasitoids Cotesia flavipes and Trichogramma galloi are valuable pests strategies for assure sustainable and profitable sugarcane in Brazil. This proposal, liked do CEPENFITO, aims to evaluate and predict the pests resistance evolution of such strategies to preserve and improve their efficacy. (AU)
