Abstract

Introduction: Educational technologies such as audiovisual resources and virtual reality present themselves as innovative teaching and learning tools in health that can complement traditional practical skills teaching methods. Objective: Develop educational tools using audiovisual resources and virtual reality in undergraduate health education. Method: Methodological study of the development of digital educational tools. The development will be carried out in five stages: 1) Analysis and planning; 2) Modeling; 3) Implementation; 4) Evaluation and maintenance; 5) Distribution. The tool will be evaluated regarding its objectives, content, efficiency and usability by specialist professors in the area at the University of São Paulo (USP) and at the Minesota University, and undergraduate students in Nursing and other health courses at the USP. The project was approved by Research Ethics Committee, opinion number: 6.031.444. The data collected from experts and students to evaluate digital tools will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Content Validity Index. Items with a mean CVR e 0.80 will be considered relevant/appropriate. Expected results: The tools can be used as a complement to practical laboratory classes and practice fields, by healthcare graduates to train technical skills and as educational material for patients. They can also be used to train health professionals, for assessment (practical test) and remote teaching. (AU)
