Abstract

Migration is a complex phenomenon with profound historical, economic, political, social, and spatial dimensions. While the 20th century was known as the "age of migration", the 21st century has seen an unprecedented acceleration in global population movements. This project aims to analyze the exploitative conditions of migrant labor in this current context. To identify the conditions of settlement based on the urban socio-spatial transformations they produce and the differences between these processes, considering the particularities of South-South and South-North migration.
