Abstract

The Federal University of Pernambuco promotes activities for improvement, continuous development and updating of professors and classes, moving towards the creation of skills in the areas of interest of the Oil, Gas, Biofuels and Renewable Energy sector, encourages the training of professionals capable of dealing with issues related to this sector and, consequently, collaborates with the reduction of the shortage of professionals trained in this field of knowledge and meeting its current and future demands. As a result, there is the strengthening and consolidation of its Undergraduate and Postgraduate Program in Chemical Engineering in the line of research in Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy, with support from the Human Resources Training Program - PRH. The human resources coming from the PRH should be approached by public and private companies in the sector, and by several educational and research institutions. The topics addressed in the monographs, dissertations and theses will be proposed with a view to the needs of the sector and may contribute to the technological development and/or study of solutions to a specific technical problem. The Emphasis that must meet the objectives of the PRH are Transportation, refining and processing of natural gas, biofuels, other renewable energies, storage and capture of CO2 and production of H2V.
