Abstract

In Veterinary Medicine, experimentation and diagnosis supports of the rational assessment of the problem or events, its causes and the study of the effectiveness of the decisions made. Research in experimentation and diagnosis in Veterinary Medicine encompasses research that provides information that helps in recognizing problems and events relating to animals, their health, reproductive efficiency, animal husbandry and well-being and the effectiveness of decisions made with based on experimental results and diagnosis. FMVZ USP supports actions to modernize the laboratory infrastructure aimed at these activities and that facilitate integration between researchers from different laboratories, promoting the internal and external exchange of people and resources focused on these research themes, encouraging the offering and access to facilities and equipment. The model adopted will be a network, where each laboratory will collaborate with its specialty and professional and personal skills. In Phase XIII, the previous projects will be continued, advancing in the consolidation of the proposal to prioritize the modernization of the technology support and laboratory infrastructure of the FMVZ USP Departments on the Capital and Pirassununga campuses, improving the infrastructure of the laboratories for diagnosis and animal experimentation. The funds will be used to prepare architectural projects for the renovation of the research laboratories of the 6 Departments of FMVZ USP on the campuses of São Paulo and Pirassununga. Architectural projects for renovations will include the Research Laboratories of the Department of Surgery (VCI), the Department of Internal Medicine (VCM), the Department of Animal Nutrition and Production (VNP), the Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine and Animal Health (VPS), the Department of Pathology (VPT) and the Department of Animal Reproduction (VRA) on the campuses of São Paulo and Pirassununga).
