Abstract

The plan of research activities to be developed in the Department of Performing Arts of the University of São Paulo is the result of the cooperation between USP and the Obafemi Awolowo University, in Ilê Ifê, Nigeria. At a time when decolonial activities and research activities on black culture need to be expanded, Professor Babatunde Allen Bakare will bring substantial collaboration to the Research Center Stage Costume, Clothing and Technology, through the project The costumes of the rite, performance and the black scene: the performing arts as a possible extension of the terreiro. The insertion of the teacher takes place in all the theme and ancestry present in various themes, notably the diaspora, fabrics, theaters and African religions. (AU)
