Abstract

Using the carbon isotopes (12C, 13C, 14C) of the organic matter of latosols from different locations in the State of São Paulo, it is intended to evaluate the existing correlation between the ages of the charcoals and the ages of the humin as an indicator of the biological turnover in soils devoid of charcoals. Simultaneously it is intended to carry out paleoclimatic studies and establish a database of carbon isotopes in soils in the State of São Paulo. (AU)
