Abstract

The project aims to elaborate solutions for the resolution of the problem of the extraction of information obtained from remote sensors. This objective will be achieved through the development of image processing techniques and artificial intelligence. The techniques researched, complementary to each other, include numeric treatment (point-to-point processing), numeric-symbolic treatment (segmentation by regions) and symbolic processing (understanding of images). These techniques will be integrated by the elaboration of a computational model. (AU)
