Abstract

The project includes 3 subprojects: 1) evaluation methods and determining factors in cardiac performance; 2) cardiac hypertrophy; 3) ventricular function in human beings. Each subproject includes research plans, as in the report: subproject 1 consisting of 2 research plans: a) influence of post-charge on myocardial capacity in generating force: dP/dt and dT/dt; b) influence of the Frank-Starling mechanism on the values of end-systolic elastance; sub-project 2 consists of four research plans: a) study of segment of abdominal aorta running between the diaphragm and the renal arteries in mice subjected to constriction of the abdominal aorta; b) necroscopic study in series of mice subjected to aorta constriction at the sub-diaphragmatic level, during the first week after the constriction; c) influence of the blocker of the enzyme for conversion of angiotensin in the morphofunctional evolution of myocardial infarction; d) dietetic modulation of cardiac hypertrophy. Morphological biochemical and functional study of mice spontaneously hypertensive subjected to proteic-caloric food restriction; subproject 3, study of the ventricular function in individuals without cardiopathy and in carriers of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, of diabetes mellitus and of dilated cardiomyopathy.
