Parameters for the evaluation of the severity of experimental paracoccidioidomycosis in strains of susceptible and resistant mice and their F1 progeny

Abstract

The project aims to establish some parameters for monitoring the development of paracoccidioidomycosis of greater or lesser severity in susceptible, resistant and first generation hybrid mice, infected with fungic isolates varying in virulence. In the course of the infection we will research the production of inhibitory cytokine TGF B, the occurrence of antigenemia, the architecture and cell and matricial composition of granulomatous lesions, as well as the existence of seric and hematological biochemical alterations, both at the level of peripheral blood as well as medullary and splenetic haemopoiesis.
