Abstract

The group researches in a frontier area: Economics and complexity. In order to develop new researches and to prepare students of graduate and undergraduate courses in this area, the group intends to have a simulation laboratory of dynamic systems. The dominant Neo-walrasian economic theory studies equilibrium states using integral and differential calculus and real topology. The economic theory that sees the economic system as a complex system studies fundamentally the dynamics out-of-equilibrium. By the way, it is founded in the Computational mathematics and in the serial and parallel dynamic systems using a lot of simulations. In a historical research branch, the group studies how the traditional economic theory has faced the complexity problem. In a theoretical research branch, the group studies how to develop macro dynamics and micro dynamics models. (AU)
