Abstract

Into the downtown place of the city of São Paulo it’s situed the Aclimação Park that since 1939 had been suffering a lot of modifications about urbanistic actions, there is a lagoon of 33.380 m² with eutrophic waters (rich in organic materials), provided with the local sewerage systems, nascents and pluvial waters. In Aclimação lagoon it had been described the presences of fish, the teleostei Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This fish, have an economic interest, and is very easy to the obtation heath fishes from commercial fish farms for comparisons with the lagoon fish. Therefore, in histological comparating the lagoons’s species with farm fish samples, it can be possible to evidence biomarkers and adaptive characteristics of these fishes to water eutrhophication. The objectiv o this present project is to analyse and to characterize possible efects of the water of the Aclimação Park’s lagoon in the gills of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) evidencing the action of the poluents. According to that, will be released specific histologic stains, electron transmission microscopy and morphometry analysis of the gill’s sampls from the lagoon and from commercial fish farm. (AU)
