Abstract

This project aims to realize a study of environmental perception of the visitors of the Parque Ecológico de Ourinhos (Ecological Park of Ourinhos; SP) to evaluate the landscape potential considering actions and conservacionistas activities of the natural resources. Ourinhos is located in the southwest of the State of São Paulo and is distinguished for presenting an intra-urban forest (Inland Atlantic Forest) fragment, important public green area, with great ecological and social value. The enviromental perception used in this study will be essential because it discloses the present attribution of meanings and knowledge of the landscape, as it follows Oliveira (2004). This methodology of work is based on the social-ambientalism that considers the participation of the society in the research, searching consequent multiplication of the involved agents and the enlargement of a conscience of participation and respect to the environment. Of this point of view, this study aims to discover how the population perceives and indicates conservation actions and other sustainable activities for the landscape of the Municipal Ecological Park "Biologist Tânia Mara Netto Silva". From this inventory of the ladscape resources, the study will identify proposals of ambient conservation, with directed activities to the landscape potential, also listed for the local population. In this way, we wish that this research contributes for the strategies of conservation and improvement of the quality of life, supplying subsidies for the ambient and urban planning. (AU)
