Abstract

Heating systems for pigs in nursery and maternity are processes of the farm that demand great consumption of electric energy. Thus, it must be worked to make possible the efficiency of the use of the electric energy without, however, harming well-being of swines. This project intends to prove that it is possible to supply heating to the pigs of day-care center, with low consumption of electric energy, with improvement of the conditions of well-being and performance of the animals. This way, equipment and technologies will be compared aiming at the heating for swines in nursery phase. For this purpose, animals of nursery in a commercial farm will be submitted the three different treatments: T1 - Heating of pigs with electric resistance 1m of the floor of the bay one, T2 - Heating of pigs with warm floor with electric resistance, T3 - Heating of pigs with heating solar system and fan coil. Parameters of production, environment, behavior will be evaluated, sanitary, of it estresse and relative to the use of electric energy. (AU)
