The biochar effects on organic matter and phosphorus physicochemical caracteristcs in degraded soil

Abstract

The Darck Earth (DE) existence, a kind of soils that present high natural fertility, it can show us information that how to manage our soils in sustainable way in the future, the biochar, essential ingredient of DE, that gives to thise soils the quality of keeping organic matter and nutrients, like phosphorous, lacking in the Brazilian soils. Based on DE characteristics, this study has the objective to study the effect of the biochar in the physiochemical characteristics of the organic matter (OM) and phosphorus (P) in degraded soil. For this, the study will be developed in two essay: (i) they will be homogenized 8,75 biochar kg and equivalent P doses 0, 100, 200, 300, 400 mg of P for soil kg in 25 kg of Latossolo Vermelho (ii) they will be homogenized 8,75 biochar kg and equivalent OM doses 0, 10, 40, 70, 100 t ha-1 of cured cattle manure. The P amounts and biochar were proposed in agreement with the present content in DE and the OM in agreement with the applied amount for organic manuring. (AU)
