Abstract

This project results from contribution of Brazilian Tuberculosis Research Network Operational and Epidemiological Area researchers. In recent years, the TB Control Plan emphasized the participation of the Community Health Workers and the Family Health Staffs to contribute in expansion of the TB Control Program to Basic Attention. The objective this national proposal was to increase the TB case detection and the early diagnostic. The effectiveness of Community Health Workers (CHW) participation in TB control was assessed in a sample of 83 ACS in Ribeirão Preto. This study is transversal based in population and health services. The effectiveness of the health services will be evaluated following the modality of Basic Attention. The researchers will select the variable significant, from the simple statistics analysis, it to analysis of logistic regression, in order to limit the interference of the confounding variable of the study model. The authors consider that this study can offer subsidies to the public health politics in incorporation of TB control actions in primary health care. (AU)
