Abstract

Cryptococcosis is a systemic disease caused by Cryptococcus neoformans varieties as var. grubii serotype A. The therapeutic association points out the cryptococcosis therapy decreasing the toxicity. The association of amphotericin B and triazolic drugs in vitro is more emphatic. The scarce studies about the experimental infection in immunocompromised animal models as well the therapeutic association with amphotericin B, voriconazole and association to induce us to study this subject: evaluation of the systemic cryptococcosis course in BALB/c-SCID (immunocompromised) mice; establishment the critical course of this disease thought the clinical avaliation of the mice as well as the tecidual alterations, the inflammation study in this animal model and select one therapy with amphotericin B, voriconazole and association. C. neoformans var. grubii viable cells (3.0 X 105cels) will be inoculated into the mice and the infection study will verify in the various stages thought the microbiological and histological analysis and evaluation of the inflammation mediators. The therapeutic effective will be studied in the animals treated with the drugs alone and in association. In this study will be expected more information about this infection and selected one specific therapy. (AU)
