Quantify and compare of some Th1 and Th2 cytokines in non fertile women with endometriosis or with no apparent factors, and fertile women

Abstract

Immune imbalance might play a role in the reproductive system disorders. There is some controversy about the Th1 or Th2 imbalance related to infertility and endometriosis. The present study is aimed at dose some peripheral blood cytokine that plays a role on those diseases. A transversal study with 156 patients from CAISM/UNICAMP will be done for that. Each group of 52 women, divided in fertile women, non fertile women with endometriosis and non fertile women with no apparent factor will offer peripheral blood samples to determine their interleukin-2 and tumoral necrosis factor-±, Th1 cytokines, and interferon-”, interleukin-4 and 10, Th2 cytokines, using the MILLIPLEXTM kit, MPXHCYTO-60K-05 catalogue, and the Luminex® method. Their concentration will be analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis and Wilcoxon test. In case of imbalance in some of the Th1 or Th2 cytokines in some of those groups, individualized immune treatment for them can be studied. (AU)
