Abstract

Interdisciplinary research has been receiving special attention in many universities worldwide. Among the Brazilian universities, the UNICAMP has standed out through the pioneering introduction of several centers of interdisciplinary research. The main purpose of this project is to study the conditions for the development of interdisciplinary research both in departments and in the interdisciplinary centers of this university. The cultural aspect involving academic work is considered particularly important for this research. (AU)
