Abstract
We propose a semiclassical investigation of quantum scattering in systems with chaotic classical dynamics. This type of system has been realized in several experimental settings, involving electrons in quantum dots, microwaves in metallic cavities and electromagnetic waves in microlasers. The main objective is the development of an approach based on periodic orbits, that will allow a unified treatment of all these systems in an efficient manner. (AU)
