Abstract

The objectives of this study is to estimate the frequency of prescribing psychoactive drugs to inpatients of a general hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to detect demographic factors and types of hospitalization related to precribing these drugs, and to evaluate the use of liaison psychiatry by physicians.
