Abstract

The use of modern energy sources and technology in order to final use qualitative changes in human life, providing both, the economic production increasing and the population. However, more than the energy well being use enlargement the services originated from this energy is what really lead to an improvement in the population daily. The target with the energy services are used to is what says the economic development level reached. Nowadays, Brazil has a system of energy relatively ‘clean’, counting significantly with renewable energy sources such as biomass and hydroelectricity. However, the important question knows how the fossil fuels are being used to satisfactory the intensive energy needs from the industries in the manufacturing sector, increased urbanization and the fast growth in the sector of road without causing excessive damage to the environment. This project proposes to evaluate technologies associated with the reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere physical, chemical and biological means, but also evaluate a study of advanced technologies for the generation of carbon free energy, aiming to improve the efficiency of use, and reduce CO2 emissions. As final result, intended to compare the studies of technologies focused on the capture of CO2, emphasizing its advantages and disadvantages and showing a correlation between the technologies employed have been flagged for one or two decades ago.
