Abstract

The first part of Wittgenstein's philosophical investigations is the textual corpus of this research. We aim to show that this corpus has singular features: style of album and dialogical form. The hypothesis is that the style and form of the Investigations provides to the reader a therapeutic text: that one whose principal aim is not to be subject of interpretation, but to lead the reader who understands it to change her way of thinking by the influence of the form. In regard to this, we propose to survey and draw out, along the years, the whole scope of debates originated from the critique of language in the investigations, in order to show that this text operates by the form rather than the content.
