The Brazilian journals indexed at SciELO and ISI JCR in the last 10 years had an average raise of 2,65 in the impact factor, in 2006, for the first time, three journals scored an impact factor above 1. In the next three years the SciELO Brazil Collection will operate about 230 titles, including 20 thousands new articles and 10 thousands retrospectives per year, with an average monthly access to articles superior then 10 million with the possibility to score an impact factor above 1 in 5 journals in the ISI JCR. The SciELO Network will totalize, at least, 750 titles, more than 40 thousands articles per year. The project implantation in 3 years, targets the consolidation of SciELO as reference of Brazil and Ibero-American journal publication and it's organized in 6 action lines: a. - management and organization improvement of the program in metapublisher condition; b. - SciELO portal operation integrating access, search and all of the network collections and articles including specialized services; c. - the SciELO Brazil Collection operation, promotion and contribution to the others national and thematic collection; d. - the expansion of SciELO Network to other world regions; e. - technological platform maintenance and updating to the state of art; and f. - marketing and promotion.
