Abstract

It will be made a prospective intraoperative 3D and 2D echocardiography study in 40 patients with mitral valve prolapse submitted to a valve repair surgery. The dates obtained from 3D and 2D transesophageal echocardiography in operation room will be compared and the additional diagnose value of the 3D technique will be defined. The patients will be submitted to clinical evaluation and to 3D transthoracic echocardiography 6 months after surgery. (AU)
